04.03.2016 Tanskan Liigan MVP vahvistaa Crocoja Tanskan Liigan MVP vahvistaa Crocoja
Nikon tavaramerkki on huikean atleettisuuden mahdollistama monipuolisuus. Media Team tavoitti kiireisen Päävalmentajan kommentoimaan uutta vahvistusta.
Ohessa Nikon haastattelu Tell me something about yourself? My name is Niko LeVahn Lester, I'm 24 years old - born and raised in Germany, Kaiserslautern on Air Base and I'm an American Football Player, but also love all type of sports. In my spare time I love to coach and help other Athletes in any sport to reach their personal goals. Physically & mentally. My mom is German and my dad is American (civilian Air Force) . I have 3 Sister - 2 in Germany and 1 in the USA. My family story is a lil more complicated; maybe I will hold an interview during the season, so you get to know me a bit better.... #FOE (Family over everything) To me personally family is everything then comes -traveling , learning new languages, tattoos, nature , movies, getting to know new people, gym freak , coaching and spreading the love of football, music ! Honor, Respect, Loyalty are 3 main characteristics I live by....always there for true friends, and love to dance. haha Seinäjoki Crocodiles, get ready for some End zone, Interceptions and Big Hit Celebrations
Are you German with USA passport or are you American with Germany passport? That's a tricky question. I am a proud German and American. That's all I can say - nothing more , nothing less. I guess you can call me the "Germarican" then, haha. I'm 50% German - 50% American but 100% Football Player with the privilege of owning dual citizenship. That's the best way I can describe it...
You play multiple positions, what is your primary/favorite position? This is a question I've been trying to answer myself for a couple of years now and I think the most accurate answer I can give is, I don't have a favorite position playing football! I love the game and everything it brings with it - on/off the field. With that said , my favorite position is the position coach needs me to play to give the team and the organization the best shot at achieving their/our season goals. From WR to DB to OLB , Runningback Returner, Holder - Coach says it, I does it ;)
You have been playing GFL1, GFL2 and Denmark, what do you consider what is biggest different with those? I have played GFL2 South and GFL1 South , both for one year. The transition from GFL2 South to GFL1 South was pretty much the same to me, since I always relied on my speed. We all know speed kills ;) But as in competition the GFL north is clearly better. So whatever seemed to work easily in the South , well it's a tick harder in the North, that's for sure. Denmark I can say they are getting there as a league / as a Federation. With great coaching and individual effort in the gym, studying playbook and just getting down basics of the game - Denmark will be a dangerous international competitor in the nearest future , I believe. At the end of the day it comes down to good coaching and as individuals playing the sport, what you are willing to put in for a sport ,most European say , they play for "Hobby". Now to me it's not a hobby, banging my head in each play?! Breaking bones??? Getting concussed?? That is not a hobby to me. And that's why I'm at the point of my career Im at now and holding this interview for you :) Collecting coins. Stickers - Now That’s a hobby!!!
You chose Crocodiles and Finland. Why? Like I said before I love to travel, learn languages, help teams achieve their goals and with Coach Kotanen faithfully reaching out to me season after season, I've decided to not let him/them wait any much longer and commit. :) + who wouldn't want to join a great team / organization with the goal of winning a Championship. I would like to add another one to my collection ;) plus I like to takes risks and new challenges in my life. I want to grow in every way possible and learn as much as I can....
Last year was a success for you in the Danish League. You were chosen league MVP. Can you tell me something about it? Yes it sure was. Last year was a great football year for me personally. I told myself I will help Horsens Stallions and their organization since they were coming up to the highest league - National Liga. And giving the chance to finally play Running back and prove I can literally play any skill position that a team needs, well that's what I have proven, not just myself but Football Europe and America. So that was pretty big for me... But I also have to say it was one of the hardest as I was playing both ways every game with little to no brakes, so that kind of took a toll on me and my body. I was fit mentally but pretty banged up after the season lol. But I made it through - injury free :) #allglorytogod Other than that it was the best decision I have made thus far, traveling with football. I learned the language , I love Scandinavia now , and the best of all - The relationships I have made with coaches, new friends, job well that's priceless to me. Football or no Football, there is a life after, I also focus on.
What is your goal individually? My individual goal is to be the best I can personally be, help the team on and off the field with whatever is needed, stay healthy and help my team win the National Championship. Maple Bowl here we come....
What do you want to tell your team mates before you arrive? Let's have a good time on and off the field. Off field activities as a team makes us grow stronger together , and nobody will be able to really compete with us nor break us , come game day. One Heart Beat! Same Rhythm! And when you're on the field just give it all you have, as we strive for that ring towards the end of the season. #together I always tell myself , I will give it my all , so no matter win or lose, I can look into my brothers eyes with no regrets & tell him I gave it all I had. The game isn't always about winning, you win some - you lose some - but it sure is about giving it your all to win! But even bigger than giving it your all - WE HAVE TO BELIEVE TOGETHER Go Crocs... There is a saying I started using coming to Denmark. Vi er ikke kommet for et danse....We are not coming for a dance | this season!!!! Hope it's still right, lol Maybe you guys have a saying similar in Finnish :) Thank you for your time & God bless you all!!!! Go Crocodiles
Your #23 Niko LeVahn Lester "TheRealGermarican"
